SalsaDancing ESPN 2007 world
championship1 first place final

The ESPN 2007 world salsa competitions, what an
adventure we had as a team from Ritmo y Salsa
represented by Abel Pena and Zulmara Torres, this
year ESPN committee changed the rules, they said
they want to see more dancing and bring the root
of Mambo back versus only tricks, they felt that
we are loosing the mambo roots so now they allowed
only 3 tricks, so since all the couples had at
list 9 tricks in their new routines they got to
change it and nuke the tricks out, but for some
couples it was so difficult to do so because they
were not inform in time and made it clear for
them, Abel and Zulmara came to ESPN world
championship with an excellent fabulous routine a
wining combination, unbeatable routines & very
fancy routines if ever some one saw it at the
Rumba room or Sachi will tell you the impression
that they left on the crowed that day with their
original routines, but unfortunantly respecting
ESPN Rules they had to change it in order to make
it workable for the ESPN world competition New
Rules, but you have any Idea how difficult is to
do so in 2 days!!!????, almost impossible to put
somthing so fast together new and reherce it!!!!
only true champions and experienced dancers on the
dance floor can do somthing like that..!!! trust
my word as an experience salsa dancer "Vito
El Salsero's word" , some of other
couples had thier routine prepared for almost a
year with may be only 2 tricks, and for sure they
wanted to still the world title from them!!!, so
our team need it to change the whole music and the
routine in 2 days, Abel And Zulmara at the semi
final competed with one day young routine and they
came out the six't place, when as a team we
saw that we knew there is a fast decision track
changes need it to be made to protect the world
title as Los Angeles Salseros. Some extreme speed
and fast moves was need it to bring the cowed up
from their chairs to show the L.A. DANCERS strengh
of a true champions AND what they can do IN 2
DAYS!!!, the whole team of Ritmo y Salsa and
friends worked with intelligence inputs managed by
Abel and Zulmnara's ideas and surounding team
coatch friends, we were coaching as a team with
100% open eyes looking for any mistakes on the
dance floor to correct them all, so they did it,
what a champions work!!!, and again here they are
Abel Pena and Zulmara Torres proved to the whole
world that they are true champions to adapt to the
ESPN Salsa world new rules very fast and make a
solid undefeated combination's to retain
their world title again salsa world champions for
the 3rd time in the row with strength and
confidence in the dance floor, I had a talk with
Abel Pena before the final and he said to me, I am
going to give this time my absolute best and show
them this time how we can dance comparing to the
semi final one..!!, and who ever going to take the
tile a way from me, he is not going to take it
easy even if we are now at the six't place in
the semi final!!!, it does not matter, we are
starting from Zero again, and that person he need
to defeat me first and he better be better than me
as a dancer to get the title a way from me!!! if
not I will keep the title again and show my
professionalism on the dance floor and dance again
as a champions, and they did it in front of ESPN
international, ESPN 1 and ESPN2 televisions and in
front of the whole world proving that they will
remain undefeated champions for the 3rd times Abel
Pena and Zulmara Torres....., Also Los Angeles
brought to L.A. the 3rd place championship by
David Nieto and Charlene Rose proving to the world
we have great dancers in Los Angeles..By Vito El
Salsero from Ritmo y Salsa team.
