Zlatari Church seen from outside and inside in 3D. Zlatari Church is one of the oldest monuments in the historical centre of Bucharest. It was mentioned with the name in two documents in 1667 and 1679. Zlatari is a Romanian plural word with south-Slavic origin (zlatar) meaning goldsmith. Therefore the church took its name from the group of zlatari (goldsmiths) who were living in the neighborhood.

Назована е в два документа през 1667 г. и 1679 г. Златари е Ръмунско множествено число на думата с южно-славянски произход златар, означаващ майстор на злата. Затова църквата получила името си от групата златарски майстори (златари) живяли в махалата.
