Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi arrived at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh to meet the families of the victims, who suffered in the sterilization surgery on Saturday. Due to the failed surgery 13 died and over 138 fell ill. Rahul Gandhi will also inspect the corrective measures undertaken by the state government after the tragedy. The tragedy occurred after 83 women underwent sterilization surgery at Nemichand Jain Cancer and Research Centre at Pendari village on November 8. At least 56 women underwent surgeries at three different camps in Pendra block on November 10.
