We had lived quietly on our Cul-de-sac for about 20 years in our home which we purchased new. 7 homes including the corners. There had never been any kind of drama in all that time. Until these NFH moved in next door to us about 2 years ago. While we thought she was kinda weird from the outset (in two years we have never seen her smile once) we got along OK. In fact, 'he' and I worked hand in glove to replace about 100' of common fence shortly after they moved in. But it was not long before she began complaining about every two-bit thing she could dream up, including the fence which surprised me since I had done just a whole lot more than half the work. (I am retired, 'he' is not). I hesitate to go into a lot of boring detail but here is another example. During the summer, the city recommends mowing lawns between 8 and 10. We had been mowing just after 8 for 20 years. We only have about 300sq ft of grass on that side of our house in front and back. Takes maybe 5 minutes to mow each. Within a month of them moving in she basically demanded we mow our lawn later in the day. So instead of mowing at just after 8 I bumped it up to 9. She still complained. Would stand at the corner of their house and glare at us and bark things like 'SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP YOU KNOW". Once she actually tossed a small rock at my wife while she was mowing the front. Its my personal belief that it was around this time frame that she developed a kind of psychopathic and intense dislike for us that she has never relinquished. With that, and other examples like it, I began avoiding her when ever possible. I never got nasty. I simply ignored her or if required, gave her the minimum reply. Then last July 15 2015, I retrieved my mail. (We have cluster boxes; 15 mailboxes per). I was expecting 3 bubble mailers for a project. Bingo. There they were. Took 'em into my study, opened 'em up. Whoops! One was for 'him'. Meds. There was nothing nefarious here. The letter carrier made I mistake, then I did too. So I thought... who knows, maybe he needs his meds right away. So rather than return them to the post office, I composed a polite note explaining what had happened, signed it, placed the note and the mailer in a sealed large clear baggy and walked over and placed the baggy on a bench, in plain view, on their porch. I left it on the porch because I did not want to take the chance of direct contact with 'her'. That's where the video picks up the story. She just proceeded to give me hell for opening their mail. So I am standing at my front door, listening to her diatribe (after doing the best I knew how to correct the situation) when I finally had enough and fired back something close to "Get the hell of my property you bitch and never step foot on it again!". Boy did I pay for that. For the rest of July, then August, Sept., Oct., and Nov. 'he' randomly does all this stupid stuff you see in a few examples I show in the video.
So anyway on July 16th I had the cops out. Showed 'em the video. Said there was nothing they could do but advised us to completely disengage. Which we did, except for one short incident where they were on our property and I very calmly told them to stop trespassing on my property.
He did not stop his stupid Jr. High school antics until we filed a Restraining Order against them. While the judge denied it, for reasons only known unto them, it was only after that, the beginning of Dec. 2015, that he stopped.
