On July 30, 2012, Germany's Britta Heidemann was declared the winner of an Olympic fencing match against South Korea's Shin A Lam. Using time code and slow motion, this video shows that time had expired by the time Heidemann hit Lam, and that Lam should have advanced to the gold medal round.

For clarity, time is measured in video frames in this video. When the frame counter reads "1.10", about 1.33 seconds have passed.
