Canadian foreign affairs minister has suggested that Ottawa would be open to Participate in a military strike against Syria.
Following U-S President Barack Obama's statement on Syria signaling Washington is considering a punitive strike, John Baird hinted Canada would be ready for a strike against Syria if needed.
Although Prime Minister Stephen Harper has appeared to step back saying Canada has no plans for a military mission of its own in Syria, He still supports its allies.
Still, Harper says the international community must act. This is while, countries such as Russia, China, and Iran oppose a military solution to the Syrian conflict.
The U-S and its allies are beating the drum of war against Syria under the pretext of responding to a suspected chemical attack which killed hundreds of civilians near Damascus last week. Syrian President Bashar Assad has denied the allegations, saying his country reserves the right to defend itself against any aggression.
