We've been experimenting with Microsoft Windows Movie Maker to combine audio and video content and have put together some basic stop-motion sequencing. It's very basic, but it will give you an idea of the type of video you can create with Movie Maker. Hope you enjoy it. As for the song itself, "Sharkey's Night" is the bookend to the 1983 release of Mister Heartbreak. It compliments the equally enjoyable opener "Sharkey's Day." The fact that Laurie recorded William S. Burroughs' recitation of her words in the song is a big plus-plus.
Laurie Anderson is a veteran avant-garde artist whose career has spanned about four decades. She does phenomenally interesting stuff. Check out the rest of the album on Laurie's MySpace page. As with anything we post, we encourage you to buy the items we're showcasing. We wouldn't recommend them if we didn't think they were worth it. Besides, Laurie is married to Lou Reed and we all know Laurie's his Sugar Mama, so help a sister out, huh?
