Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi addressed a mammoth election rally at Sidhpur in north Gujarat on Monday. She called the Narendra Modi-led government as anti-people and also targeted it for the corruption and malpractices with the central funds.
"It has sufficient funds to spend for its own people and industrialists but they do not have funds for the poor who need it more than anyone else" said Sonia Gandhi.
She slammed the development plank of Modi government and said one should ask why more than four and half lakh farmers were not getting power connection despite the Centre providing electricity.
