Bookmarked 440 weeks ago http:amazingdiyprojectscomfirst manned flight with this aircraft total flying time was 8 minutes which turned out to be 57 of the battery capacity this means that the craft has a theoretical flight time of 14 minutes 100dod 11min 10s until you are down to 80dod my assessment is that 10minutes is the real safe flight time capability with the 35kg lipo that are currently mounted on the craft overall the test went really well there was a little more vibration than i had anticipated and yaw directional stability in forward flight was inadequate in this first flight the i-gain limits were set to zero next flight the yaw i-limit will be set to a value above zero to obtain better directional stabilityregarding wearing mc suite and full face helmet etc etc this project is about obtaining the precious feeling of freedom 10 min at a time lol-i know but stillso wearing a fortress would be counterproductive i have tried to build in safety in the structure itself so that i can feel free |
