Bijay Tudu collected edible snails, called ‘gerha’ in Bengali, from his village pond will show us how to cook them.<br>The ingredients required for this recipe are gerha snails, onions, garlic, mustard oil, mustard seeds, dried red chilli, tomatoes and salt.<br>Follow the steps-<br>1) Remove the shell using sil bata stone and then wash properly.<br>2) Make a paste of onions, garlic, mustard seeds and dried red chilli.<br>3) Heat mustard oil and add the paste.<br>4) Once the paste changes its colour, add the snails and heat for 5-10 minutes.<br>5) Add tomatoes, mix masala, water and salt as per preference.<br>6) Cover the dish for 5 minutes and the dish is ready.
