Mazda Miata DNA. Gone is the smiley face now replaced by a much more serious and more grown-up new front fascia. The car

now looks almost mean and certainly determined as it eats up the corners of your favorite twisty road.

For the 2013 model year Mazda has updated the exterior on the CX-9 which is more in line with some of the other vehicles

they offer like the Mazda6. The base price on the 2013 Mazda CX-9 is $29,785 which makes it a great value and an excellent

alternative to a minivan.


Most crossover SUVs are operated by a 3.5 liter V-6. The 2013 Mazda CX-9 is no different. The engine is a 3.7 liter V-6

that makes a healthy 273 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 17 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway.

Mazda offers the CX-9 in both FWD and AWD variants. The only transmission offered is a 6-speed automatic.

The Mazda CX-9 is essentially an alternative to a minivan like the Dodge Caravan. Most buyers are going to be those with a

family. The cargo area is very versatile as both the 2nd and 3rd row of seats fold down allowing you access to a ton of

cargo room. The 2013 Mazda CX-9 is available in 3 different trim levels: Sport, Touring, and top of the line Grand Touring.
