C-SPAN’s Washington Journal was taking calls from viewers on the role that Congress should play in the U.S. negotiations with Iran when they received a call from a man who called himself Jack Strickland from Los Angeles, California.
“I’m calling from Bel Air, California, but I’m originally from Philadelphia, specifically West Philadelphia,†the caller said. He explained that he was recently in Philly discussing this issue with some of his friends while playing basketball when “a couple of guys who were up to no good essentially started causing trouble in my neighborhood.â€
“I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said you’re moving with your auntie and your uncle in Bel Air,†he continued, before C-SPAN cut him off. Unfortunately, he never got to relay the part where he pulled up to the house in Bel Air and told the cabbie, “Yo, homes, smell you later.â€
