Just when Mr. Narendra Modi couldn't work on his facts, he was granted another task! And mind you, this task was mammoth in size as compared to the fact memorizing task.
Yes, we are talking about Mr. Narendra Modi's English. Now we are not saying that everyone needs to talk in English, in fact we all should be proud of our mother tongue and speak in whichever language if we are comfortable in it. But when has Mr. Narendra Modi ever listened to anyone when they give a valid suggestion.
In an event held with some foreign nationals, Narendra Modi ended up saying that he is a "pessimistic person" while he actually meant "optimistic person". In fact, in an interview with Karan Thapar, from which Narendra Modi ran away mid-interview, one can hardly understand what he is saying in English. One often thinks that was it the Gujarat 2002 riots question or the English that Narendra Modi was scared of?
All we can do for now is hope that Mr. Narendra Modi takes along an interpreter to translate the speech for him or at least memorize his English speeches properly so that the people of this country are not left red-faced since a representative of this country goes to foreign lands and declares himself a pessimist.
