I want to share with you some of the really cool features you get with Guitar Tricks that I think makes it unique among the various guitar training membership sites.
Before we get into the nuts and bolts of it, I just want you to be aware that it is absolutely FREE to join for the first 2 weeks. Use the special link above or below. It's got the coupon code already built into it so you can just click through that and get your 14 days free. I really encourage you to check out their site because they really do have everything you will need to take you as far as you want to go in your guitar journey.
First off, they have the Core Learning System. As I've mentioned in my other videos and pages, it's really very important you're following a step-by-step, structured program that teaches you what you need to know in the order you need to know it. Otherwise, you're just going to get confused and frustrated. Worst case, you may even give up you guitar journey and that would be really sad, especially when it's so unnecessary given that you can avoid all that by signing up with a site like this where you have consistent training laying out everything for you, every week so you can have that progress you need.
Life is too short to be jumping around from one random free youTube video to another. You really want to follow a professionally developed guitar training curriculum and that's exactly what the good folks at Guitar Tricks have put together for you. And to be able to get started with them for FREE, it just doesn't get any better than that.
Guitar Tricks is definitely one of my favorites and one I highly recommend if you're a beginner or even an intermediate or advanced player. Because even once you go through the Core Learning System training, there's the song lesson library with over 600 songs completely broken down for you to learn exactly as they were originally recorded, but I'm getting ahead of myself here.
The site is very easy to navigate....it's all laid out for you in a very intuitive format. On the top menu..."Instructors" so if you have a favorite instructor, you can find all that instructor's lessons here. Of course, the lessons tab is going to give you access to all the lessons. I think at last count they had over 8,000 lessons or some mind-boggling number like that. Clicking on the Core Learning System, you can see how you can follow your own preferred path. you start here with Fundamentals 1 and 2 and from there you choose your preferred genre. So if you're into Rock, you'll go through the Rock 1 lessons and then onto Rock 2 and so on with the Country and Blues pathways.
Guitar Tricks has a library of over 600 song lessons you can learn and they add more all the time. It's crazy. They have very easy beginner songs to the advanced stuff. The songs cover every style with artists like Boston, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Metallica, you name it, they've got it.
Under Jam, you get access to all the Jam tracks to jam along which will be nice to have for when you want to practice with a backup band or practice your improvisation skills.
And here's where you'll access the forum. Being involved in a forum, especially when you're starting out can be very beneficial to your progress. You're right there with others in the same boat and level and others who have been where you've been which helps so much when you have a question about something in one of the lessons, or maybe your're struggling with something particular and need some pointers and sometimes it's just having that "you can do it" encouragement you'll get from someone that will help you keep at it and then you finally have the "ah ha!" moment and you go back and let them know you finally got it and they share in celebrating that victory with you.
Guitar Tricks has made mobile compatibility a priority. They even have a special iPad app. So if you want to login and do some lessons while you're on the go, that will not be a problem.
You get a metronome and more. And considering you can get onboard totally free and get full access to everything while trying it out, it really doesn't make sense not to at least check it out. So click that link below to join for free and give it a test drive. I think you'll be really glad you did!
