Team Germany finished 6th at the team final competition in Rio 2016 Olympics,

2 of the German gymnasts qualified for the all around competition: Elisabeth Seitz and Sophie Scheder and they both also qualified for the uneven bars final at Rio 2016. Sophie Scheder won the bronze medal on uneven bars, becoming the first gymnast from Germany to do so.
