If you have book and you scanned whole page with your scanner and saved as image file formats like .jpg or .png. And you combined these image files together to form the book. That means you have bunch of book images. For searching a small content you have scroll whole the jpeg images. This is very irritating and one of the hectic job.

It enabled with OCR technology (Optical character recognition) which helps to detect the image text characters and make it searchable and editable text.
