This is my latest K'nex ball machine. It was built as an installation for the lobby of The Works Museum. It stands 23 feet tall with over 115,000 pieces. It has a computer-controlled dual elevator lift which sends balls down 12 different paths adding up to over 850 feet of track. It took one year to build.
This is the world's largest K'nex ball machine currently standing - by piece count. The all-time record is held by my 126,000 piece Warehouse K'nex Ball Machine, built in 2016.
The Works Museum is a hands-on childrens' museum that teaches kids to think like an engineer. It is located in Bloomington, MN. The K'nex machine is a permanent installation at the museum, so come check it out if you're in the area!
