Norma Jean tells us about her story of going from a police officer to a sex worker and clears up some common misconceptions around the business and telling us about her work toward the decriminalization of sex work.
Norma Jean Almodovar, once employed by the LAPD as a traffic officer- then turned call girl- was the 1986 California candidate for Lt. Governor. She has been an activist for sex worker rights since she left the LAPD in 1982, and currently runs a non-profit organization dedicated to changing the laws which make her and her colleagues, outlaws.
