On Monday, Caitlyn Jenner debuted on the cover of Vanity Fair and, to steal a phrase from Kim Kardashian, broke the Internet. The first images and video of Jenner are stunning, and much of the response has been overwhelmingly positive. There’s also been a few questionable comments as well.

Enter Mike Huckabee, the Josh Duggar supporter and ever-present GOP nominee hopeful who gave closing remarks at the 2015 National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville this past February. His speech was given several months before Caitlyn’s reveal and Bruce’s interview on 20/20, but they’re still, erm, “interesting” in light of Monday’s photos.

BuzzFeed News found the video Tuesday morning, which was uploaded to YouTube over the weekend by World Net Daily. It’s a 25-minute address, but the meat of the remarks come in at 18 minutes when Huckabee addresses the ways in which the religious are “under threat”:

“Simply recognize that the fact that we are now in city after city watching ordinances say that your seven-year-old daughter, if she goes into the restroom cannot be offended and you can’t be offended if she’s greeted there by a 42-year-old man who feels more like a woman than he does a man.”
It’s at this point that Huckabee decides to lighten the mood with a joke:

“Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE. I’m pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, ‘Coach, I think I’d rather shower with the girls today.'”
