I’ve been freaking out over the Beyonce track ‘Formation’ ever since it has been released. Just ask my coworkers who have to suffer me putting it on blast and hearing it through my headphones (sorry). But regardless, it’s such a masterful track, and I’ve been reviewing it’s message ever since it’s been released.
So it only makes sense that SNL would ride off the wonderful masterpiece that is Beyonce’s ‘Formation’ and mock white people who are offended by it. And they are. Apparently Beyonce Super Bowl halftime performance was too offensive for America. Her backup dancers were dressed as black panthers and she channeling Michael Jackson’s 1993 performance of “Black and White.â€
So Saturday Night Live mocked us crackers for realizing that, yes, there are indeed black people in this world. And they indeed have a culture. And they had to fight for their rights. Etc.
Aidy Bryant suddenly realizing Beyonce is black after listening to the song. And it shows the rest of the white world suddenly in shock over the realization. Everyone seemed confused. And for once something in pop culture wasn’t made for white people.
Suddenly white people everywhere start realizing that people are black.
And that there’s such a thing as black women. And they start mistaking other white people for being black. Not even Taylor Swift is safe.
But I have to say, I’m a white guy and I love the track. Do you like Beyonce’s song or do you find it offensive? Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to subscribe!
